Microsoft's Build developer conference has taken quite a compelling teaser of what's arrive at the world of Windows, with CEO Satya Nadella himself promising an update that will completely revamp the knowledge using the operating system.

Nadella did not share any specifics, but most likely, he was talking about the upcoming feature update due within the fall and often known as Sun Valley.

Theoretically, Sun Valley should really revamp Windows 10 in one end to another, essentially refreshing the UI with round corners and a more modern UI overall. Additional features will also be planned, some of which are presently in beta testing as part of the Windows Insider program.

Microsoft's CEO says this would be the largest overhaul of Windows 10 since launch, and explaining that it'll bring new opportunities for developers and creators.

Arriving the fall of Windows 10

Nadella says Windows 10 is currently used by more than 1.3 billion users worldwide, which is an essential achievement for Microsoft, especially given the growth the PC ecosystem has recorded this past year when everybody started working remotely.

Called the next-gen of Windows and nicknamed by a few Windows 11, the upcoming Sun Valley update will obviously be considered a free update for everyone already running Windows 10, and it's also likely to pack a series of Windows 10X features too.

Windows 10X was Microsoft's super-ambitious operating system designed to power the dual-screen PC revolution, but the company has decided to ditch the project, choosing instead to create some of its key features to the full version of Windows 10. Microsoft hasn't shared any specifics on this plan, but Windows 10X was well received by the community of users available, mostly thanks to its modern look and UI overhaul that covered every little area of the operating-system.
