Microsoft has faced criticism on numerous occasions over its aggressive tactics to get users to both upgrade to Windows ten and, more recently, install the Windows ten Anniversary Update, nevertheless its attempts are paying down. The latest figures from AdDuplex, a cross-promotion ad network for Windows Phone and Home windows Store apps, implies that the newest type of cheap office professional 2013 is actually set up on roughly a huge amount of Windows ten PCs.
While not as pervasive as the Anniversary Update on mobile, where AdDuplex says the penetration rate has reached "critical mass," being set up on 76.6 % of Windows 10 PCs is, as the ad network notes, "still a fairly solid number" and another which should entice developers to begin with using the latest features baked into the OS.
It is a big jump at a month ago when cheap office professional 2010 version 1607 was calculated to get attached to just 34.5 % of Home windows 10 PCs. The ad network doesn't explain why there was a real big jump from September to October, however if the information is anywhere near accurate, it might be considered a victory for Microsoft. It could also reinforce Microsoft's tactics for getting users to upgrade, including using nag screens.
Even though the Anniversary Update may have gained a current head of steam, it remains seen if Home windows 10 in general is adopting the same trend. From August to September, Netmarketshare showed Home windows 10 in a condition of stagnation, going from a 22.99 percent share of the market to 22.53 percent. StatCounter noted the same trend, simply slightly different numbers-24.43 percent in August and 24.42 percent in September.
Getting back to AdDuplex's figures, the ad network shows HP to be the most active manufacturer of Home windows ten PCs by accounting for 21.9 percent of Home windows ten systems sold. Lenovo, which is top seller of PCs overall, is tied with Dell in second place with at 11.6 percent. It is Asus (11 percent), Acer (10.one percent), Toshiba (5.2 percent), cheap office home and business 2010 (2.8 percent), Samsung (2.Five percent), Sony (one.Five percent), and MSI (1.Five percent).
